Music Ministry

Bro. Jim Criswell is the Minister of Music and Worship at First Baptist Church. He and his wife, Phyllis have been here since 1982. Bro. Jim is a graduate of Union University and Southwestern Seminary with a BA an MCM degree.

The music ministry of First Baptist Church of Trenton provides opportunities for all ages to minister through music (ages 6 years through senior adults). These opportunities include Praise Choir, Kids Praise Choir, Praise Band, Praise Team, Quartet, Trios, Duets, Solos and coming in October a Youth Choir.

Music expresses the life of a church, and a church that sings is a church that’s alive. You will find music to be a big part of the fellowship at First Baptist. No matter what level your musical talent is at, whether you plan an instrument or sing, we have place for you to use the talents the Lord has given you!

• Praise Choir: High School graduate through senior adults meet Sundays at 4:00 PM
• Kids Praise Choir: Grades 1 through 6 meet after school on Tuesday, August through March. (Refreshments are provided)
• Praise Team: Adults that meet on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM
• Praise Band: Joins Praise Team at 7:00 PM Wednesdays
• Youth Choir: Beginning in October
